GROM. STRENGTH AND HONOUR Foundation

About Us

The GROM. Strength and Honour Foundation was established at the initiative of Agnieszka, Kacper and Eliasz Petelicki – the closest family of GROM’s originator, co-organizer, and first commander late Brigadier General Slawomir Petelicki (1946-2012) as well as his friends and associates.

The Foundation’s statutory goals primarily include supporting the soldiers of the Polish Army (including in particular special forces), war veterans, and former officers of the uniformed services and their families, supporting organisational entities that perform tasks contributing to Poland’s defensive capacities and security, maintaining national and patriotic traditions, fostering Polish national identity, and developing national, civil, and cultural awareness.

In addition, the goals of the GROM. Strength and Honour Foundation include promoting and fostering a positive image of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Ministry of National Defence both in Poland and abroad and cultivating the grand traditions of the Polish Armed Forces, including in particular the history of the “Cichociemni” Paratroopers of the Home Army and the soldiers of the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade commanded by Brigadier General Stanisław Sosabowski within the scope of the Polish Armed Forces in the West during World War II as well as the Polish Army’s contemporary special formation “GROM”.
